A Porch in Staffordshire

In August 2017, we constructed a porch for a client in Staffordshire. The porch considerably improved the frontage of the client’s home. We worked closely with the builder to rensure a trouble-free installation.

Client Specification

The client’s objective was to update the frontage of their home by replacing the tired original softwood porch (pictured, right) with a more traditional, eye-catching statement.

Design

The client preferred the traditional oak framed design but wanted a modern look.

The structure had to blend in with the existing roof line and side wall of the house. It couldn’t be a standard “lean-to” porch.

Build

As per all our builds, the structure was pre-assembled in our workshop to enable an easy installation process by ensuring good joint fitment and correct face-to-face alignment.

We worked closely with the builder and what resulted was a trouble-free build!

The Finished Product

The finished product (pictured, left) shows the considerable improvement which the structure has on the frontage of the house.

The collaboration between ourselves, the client and the builder during the whole design, development and installation lead to the desired transformation, a trouble-free installation and a very happy client.
